Project details

A new housing complex is situated in the town of Nahrawan 35 km away from Baghdad. It is developed as part of Iraq National Housing Program addressing vast housing deficit caused by the recent wars in the region. Following the guidelines of the Ministry of Housing and Construction Kling Consult designed a self-sustainable community of 34 residential buildings, a clinic, kindergarten, primary and intermediate schools, shops and a mosque as a contribution to the country economic growth.

Despite unstable political situation and ongoing civil war in Iraq, Kling Consult took the risk to participate in this socially meaningful project and concentrated its best intellectual efforts to deliver modern and comfortable housings to more than 2500 Iraqi people. Kling experts used latest industry technologies in the design to ensure construction and operational cost savings. Thus, Al Nahrawan housing project is a pioneer in Iraq in terms of use of BIM software. Solar systems and grey water recycling system make the community environmentally friendly.
